Unlike standard tours, you won’t be following a rigid schedule or part of a group. Instead, the experience is tailored to your pace, with opportunities for short stops, photos and adjustments along the way.
Travel in a premium SUV and discover a mix of well-known landmarks and lesser-known locations, all within a comfortable 3.5-hour journey.
Pickup is included within the total tour duration and is available from Windsor, Eton and nearby areas within a few miles of key locations including Old Windsor, Bray, Ascot, Runnymede and Virginia Water.
Pickup from locations outside this area may be possible, however additional travel time will be included within the overall tour duration and may reduce time spent at other locations.
Please provide your pickup location when booking so arrangements can be confirmed in advance. Locations significantly outside the towns and areas listed above may not be possible within the tour duration.
Drive through the historic town of Windsor, taking in its royal connections, charming streets and views of Windsor Castle. There may be opportunities for short stops for photos or a brief look around, depending on your preferences and timing. As this is a private driving experience, time spent in Windsor is flexible and included within the overall tour duration.
Drive through the historic town of Eton, home to the world-famous Eton College. See its distinctive buildings and hear about its history, traditions and notable former students while passing through this iconic location as part of the tour.
Visit Runnymede, the historic riverside site where the Magna Carta was sealed in 1215. This peaceful setting is also home to the John F. Kennedy Memorial, a tribute to the former US President. Enjoy the surroundings and learn about its significance in both British and international history, with the opportunity for a short stop to take in the views and photos.
Drive through parts of Windsor Great Park, a vast historic royal landscape with tree-lined avenues and open parkland connected to the Windsor Estate. As you pass through, there is a chance to see the famous Copper Horse statue of King George III, set on a hill with views back towards Windsor Castle.
Stop at Virginia Water, one of the most scenic parts of Windsor Great Park. See the striking Leptis Magna ruins, ancient Roman columns brought from Libya, and visit the nearby waterfall and lake. This is a great opportunity to step out, take photos and enjoy the surroundings.
Drive through Ascot, home to the famous Ascot Racecourse, one of the most prestigious horse racing venues in the world and closely associated with the Royal Family. Pass by the racecourse and hear about its history and royal connections.
Pass through the village of Bray, a picturesque Thames-side location known for its charming setting and exceptional dining scene, including several Michelin-starred restaurants. There may be an opportunity for a short stop depending on timing and preferences.
Stop at Oakley Court, a striking Victorian mansion set along the River Thames. Known for its distinctive architecture, it has featured in a number of famous films and productions. There will be time to hear about its history and take photos in this scenic riverside setting.
