The Chinatown Cultural Center is located inside Wgt Veggie 五观堂素食. Please arrive a few minutes early and inform the receptionist you are here for a cultural workshop. You will be guided to the workshop room, where the instructor will be waiting. Please contact us if you can’t find the place.

What to expect

You’ll learn the fundamentals of Chinese paper cutting, a traditional folk art often used for festivals and celebrations. After a short introduction to classic patterns and their meanings, your instructor will demonstrate cutting techniques and safety tips.

Using red paper and simple tools, you’ll create your own paper-cut design, such as flowers, animals, or auspicious symbols. The workshop is beginner-friendly, and you’ll complete a finished piece to take home.
