Peleș Castle is the former residence of the kings of Romania, full of furniture, ornamental objects, carpets, tapestries, sculptures, paintings and weapon collections from the 15th -19th centuries. See the Grand Armory, the Music Room, and the Hall of Mirrors. Nestled in the heart of the Carpathian Mountains, this Neo-Renaissance marvel is a true architectural gem. As you approach the castle, you’ll be captivated by its fairy-tale appearance, with ornate facades and lush, forested surroundings. Inside, the castle reveals a world of opulence with its richly decorated rooms, intricate woodwork, and exquisite art collections. Take a stroll through the beautifully landscaped gardens and capture some photos.
Our next stop is Cantacuzino Castle, the former summer residence of Prince Gheorghe Grigore Cantacuzino, nicknamed "The Nabob" due to his impressive wealth, located in the resort of Bușteni. The building, built in 1911, bears a great architectural, historical, documentary and artistic value and spreads over a vast area of about 6 hectares. The architecture of the castle is made in neo-Romanian style, with neo-Brancovian elements. The castle park is similar to European royal parks, being laid out with paved alleys, artesian fountains, a grotto, trees, flower gardens and sculptures. It also offers the most beautiful panoramic view in the entire area! Due to its special charm, the castle has hosted, over time, several international productions (films, series, TV commercials, videos etc.). The castle became famous as a result of the most recent production filmed here, the mini-series "Wednesday", the exterior of the castle representing the Nevermore Academy.
We continue our journey towards Bran with its famous Bran Castle, also known as Dracula's Castle. This medieval fortress exudes mystery and charm, perched dramatically on a rocky hilltop. Uncover the castle's labyrinthine corridors, hidden staircases, and dimly lit rooms on a guided tour that delves into its rich history. Here, we learn about the castle's history and how it had a strategic mission being the border between Transylvania and Wallachia. As you explore the castle’s ancient corridors and secret passageways, you’ll uncover the real stories behind the legend. The castle’s imposing towers and panoramic views of the surrounding Transylvanian landscape create a captivating backdrop for your visit.
Enjoy free time for lunch in the town of Brasov. Located at the foot of the Carpathians, Brașov is a picturesque city with a beautifully preserved medieval center. Take a moment to stroll through the lively Piața Sfatului, surrounded by pastel-colored buildings and framed by mountain views. With its cozy cafes, picturesque shops, and rich history, Brașov is the perfect mix of old-world charm and modern vitality.
