Itinerary

1Colca Canyon
After picking up from your hotel between 03:00 and 03:30 a.m. start the journey to the Colca Valley. Your first stop will be in Chivay, where you will enjoy breakfast. Afterwards you will continue to the Mirador de la Cruz del Condor where you can appreciate the depth of the canyon in combination with the surrounding landscape and observe the flight of the Andean condor over the canyon. The time at the viewpoint is approximately 30 minutes.

After visiting the viewpoint of the Cross of the condor, continue the journey until you reach Pampa San Miguel, where you begin the descent into Colca Canyon. The hike lasts about 4 hours, descending from 3,300 m above sea level to 2,100 m above sea level, crossing nature trails and spectacular views. You can see the river that runs through the canyon. Around 1 :00 p.m. you will arrive at a small community called San Juan de Chuccho, where you will have time to have lunch and rest for a moment.

3Oasis Sangalle
After the break, continue the walk for about 3 hours, walking among fruit trees, climbing paths and other descent, obtaining views of the other side of the canyon, until you reach the Oasis of Sangalle, a quiet place surrounded by vegetation, located about 1,900 m a.s.l. In the oasis you can relax and enjoy its swimming pool. In the evening you will have dinner and rest in comfortable rustic rooms.

4Oasis Sangalle
After a restful break, around 04:30 a.m. you will start the ascent walk from the Oasis of Sangalle to the town of Cabanaconde. This hike lasts approximately 3 hours and takes place during dawn, offering spectacular views of the canyon and the Andean mountains in combination with sunrise. Upon reaching the top of the canyon you continue with a short walk to the village of Cabanaconde to enjoy a restocking breakfast.

5Hot Springs Chacapi
After breakfast, transport will pick you up to continue with the journey. You will arrive in the town of Yanque where you will have free time to visit the thermal baths, where you can relax in its hot waters. You'll have 1 hour off at this place. After the relaxing swim, there will be free time to enjoy an optional buffet lunch and continue the journey back to the city of Arequipa.

6Abra Patapampa
During the trip back to Arequipa you will make incredible stops, one of them to observe many volcanoes from a stone viewpoint, other stops from some bodeals where you will appreciate llamas and alpacas and even vicuñas in their natural habitat. The trip ends at approximately 5:00 pm near the square of arms.
