Zafferana Etnea : We will start in the "City of Honey" for a guided tasting of 9 varieties of fine honey, volcanic oils and local organic specialties.

We will then continue up to 2,000 meters towards the Silvestri Craters. Here you can walk on the lava soil of this UNESCO site, explore volcanic caves and admire breathtaking views.

The heart of the experience is a visit to one of the volcano's most prestigious historic wineries. You will discover the secrets of native grapes and lava soil, followed by a typical lunch with tasting of 4 DOC wines paired with traditional cuisine.

    Your journey begins with a private transfer service.     In Zafferana Etnea there is a stop at a typical local farm, with tasting of different types of Etna honey, produced from pollen characteristic of the territory. The experience also includes the tasting of selected typical products.

    Craters Silvestri of Mount Etna

    Climb by car through the lava landscapes of Mount Etna to Rifugio Sapienza (about 2,000 m). A visit to the Silvestri Craters and a lava flow cave is planned, with time available to admire the view. Short optional walks are possible.

    Mount Etna

    At Rifugio Sapienza there is a break with tasting of typical local chocolate. The refuge, located at about 2,000 meters above sea level, is one of the main access points to the summit area of Etna. During the stop you will be able to walk on the volcanic soil, touch the lava rocks and enjoy wide panoramic views, which allow you to appreciate the unique landscape and the extension of the surrounding territory.

    Stop at a historic winery of Etna, one of the reference realities in the production of DOC wines of the territory. There will be an explanation of the vineyards, the characteristics of the volcanic soil on which the vines grow and the peculiarities that influence production. This will be followed by a guided tasting of 4 DOC labels, accompanied by typical gastronomic pairings, to deepen the local wine and culinary tradition.
