Your adventure starts with a convenient pickup directly at your accommodation or a designated meeting point, where our team will warmly welcome you. From there, you will set off on a scenic 2.5-hour drive to the spectacular Chichen Itza archaeological site.
Before arriving at Chichen Itza, you will make a short stop near local points of interest. Here, you will enjoy a delicious 1-hour buffet lunch featuring traditional Mexican flavors and authentic Yucatecan regional dishes. After lunch, the group will head on foot toward the main entrance. Your certified guides will stay with you during this short walk to ensure a smooth entry and share introductory insights about the site. Once inside the archaeological zone, you will embark on a 1-hour guided tour. Our knowledgeable guides will bring the ancient Mayan city to life, sharing fascinating history, architectural secrets, and cultural facts about daily life in the Mayan world. Following the guided tour, you will have 1 hour of free time to explore Chichen Itza independently, take photos, or shop for local souvenirs. Please listen carefully to your guide’s instructions regarding the exact time and location for the final regrouping.
Next, we will take a scenic 45-minute drive to a breathtaking Mayan cenote—a natural, freshwater sinkhole unique to the Yucatán Peninsula. In ancient Mayan culture, these stunning formations were revered as sacred gateways to the underworld.Upon arrival, you will have 1 hour to swim, cool off, and relax in the crystal-clear waters. Be sure to bring your swimsuit to fully experience one of the most magical and spiritually significant natural settings in the region.
The final stop brings you to the charming colonial city of Valladolid, Yucatán—celebrated for its peaceful atmosphere, vibrant streets, and rich cultural heritage. This visit offers a wonderful opportunity to experience the authentic character of a historic Yucatecan town. You will have 30 to 45 minutes of free time to explore at your own pace. Stroll past beautifully preserved architecture, capture colorful photos of the main square, and soak in the local vibe before we begin our journey back.
Once the time in Valladolid concludes, your guide will direct the group to the designated meeting point for boarding. With everyone safely back on the bus, we will begin our comfortable ride back toward Costa Mujeres, Cancun, and the Riviera Maya.The return journey takes approximately 3 hours, offering the perfect opportunity to rest and unwind after a full day of exploration. Simply settle into your seat, relax, and reflect on an unforgettable day as our experience comes to a close.
