Craft your very own wooden coaster using the traditional Kumiko technique, a unique Japanese woodworking art form. Under the guidance of a knowledgeable instructor, discover the rich history and intricate geometric patterns that define Kumiko.
This 1.5-hour workshop not only allows you to assemble your coaster from a specially prepared kit but also offers a serene moment to relax with Japanese tea and sweets. After creating your piece, browse a selection of authentic Kumiko crafts and traditional Japanese items, gaining insight into the craftsmanship behind each work.

Meeting and pickup
Look for the building with "N6" displayed at the upper right of the facade. A chocolate shop is located on the ground floor. Please enter through the main entrance at the center of the building and come up to the 2nd floor.
What to expect
Using a carefully prepared kit, assemble the wooden pieces step by step with support from your guide, so that even complete beginners and first-time visitors can take part with confidence.
Cover the full process, from assembling the pieces to gluing them together and finishing the surface with sandpaper, allowing you to enjoy the entire act of crafting with wood.
Inside the space, authentic Kumiko works crafted by skilled professional artisans are also on display. Viewing these works after creating your own coaster offers a deeper appreciation of the beauty and the level of craftsmanship involved in this traditional art form.
After the crafting is complete, relax with Japanese tea and a light sweet, taking a quiet moment to unwind after focusing on the detailed handwork.
