The Tour starts from Portland Castle, after disembarking your ship, head towards the Free Shuttle Bus it takes 3-4 minutes to the meeting point where you will be met by our Guides, displaying a 'DORSET EXPLORE' sign.
Your first stop is the iconic Durdle Door, one of the most photographed landmarks along the Jurassic Coast. Take in the breathtaking panoramic views from the clifftop, and for those who wish, enjoy a short walk down to experience the striking limestone arch up close—a truly unforgettable sight.
Next, we continue to the breathtaking Lulworth Cove, renowned for its perfectly formed horseshoe bay. Take a leisurely stroll down to the white pebble beach to admire the crystal-clear waters, or unwind in the charming coastal village—perhaps with a coffee, a locally made ice cream, or a refreshing pint in a traditional pub.
Your journey then takes us inland to the dramatic ruins of Corfe Castle. Rising majestically above the Purbeck Hills, this thousand-year-old fortress is steeped in history and echoes of the English Civil War. You may choose to purchase a ticket to climb the hill and explore the ancient stone walls up close, or remain in the picturesque village below—perfect for wandering its quaint streets and indulging in a classic Dorset cream tea.(Outside only)
Next, we continue through Weymouth and on to the rugged Isle of Portland, set along the World Heritage–listed Jurassic Coast. This fascinating “island” is rich in history, folklore, and hidden curiosities waiting to be discovered. Take in sweeping views west across the spectacular Chesil Beach, stretching for 18 miles along the coastline, and standing proudly at the southernmost tip of the Jurassic Coast. With its trio of historic castles and iconic lighthouses, Portland may be small—but it delivers a truly memorable experience.
Your tour continues across the rugged Isle of Portland. Here, we pause at the striking Olympic Rings Stone Sculpture viewpoint, offering sweeping coastal views, before passing the imposing Verne Citadel, a historic fortress steeped in military heritage. We then continue to Portland Bill at the island’s southern tip. Here, you’ll discover the unique Pulpit Rock, a man-made rock formation from the 1870s, shaped like an open Bible leaning against a pillar. Set dramatically beside the sea, it sits just moments from the iconic Portland Bill Lighthouse—the perfect spot to take in the views before we begin your return journey.
