What to expect

Established in 1933, Da Xin Photo Studio is a historic vintage portrait studio inspired by the glamour of 1930s Shanghai. The studio features immersive themed sets ranging from elegant Jiangnan courtyards to nostalgic Old Shanghai street scenes, creating a cinematic vintage atmosphere.

Guests can enjoy a one-stop experience including makeup, hairstyling, costume styling, and professional photography. Popular themes include vintage Shanghai glamour looks, elegant qipao portraits, bridal concepts, and family or couple photo sessions.

Photo selection and retouching can be completed on the same day, making it a convenient and memorable way to capture your Shanghai experience.

  • Please arrive on time according to your reserved date and time. Guests are recommended to arrive 10–15 minutes early for costume selection, makeup preparation, and photoshoot arrangements.
  • Late arrivals may result in a shortened photoshoot session. If you arrive more than 15 minutes late, the reservation may be automatically canceled and no refund will be provided.
  • Additional retouched photos are available at RMB 100 per photo. Original photo files are available at RMB 60 per photo. All additional purchases are optional and payable on-site.
  • Original unedited photo files and printed photos are not included in the packages.
