  Scaur Hill Fort Park

  Fort Scaur is a 19th century British fortification perched high on Scaur Hill in Somerset, Sandys Parish. Built in the late 1860s–1870s to protect the Royal Naval Dockyard from potential American attack, it features a defensive dry moat, subterranean passages, and a rare 64 pounder rifled muzzle loader gun on a disappearing mount. Today, Fort Scaur is a peaceful public park offering panoramic views of Ely’s Harbour and the Great Sound, 22 acres of walking trails, picnic areas, and one of Bermuda’s best sunset lookout points.

  Heydon Trust

  Heydon Chapel is a tiny 17th century cottage turned chapel tucked inside the peaceful Heydon Trust estate in Sandys Parish. Known as the smallest church in Bermuda, it was originally built around 1610 as a farm labourer’s cottage and later converted into a chapel in 1943. Today it sits within 40+ acres of quiet gardens and open space, offering visitors a serene, historic spot overlooking Heydon Bay

  Gibb's Hill Lighthouse

  Your first stop will be at the Gibb’s Hill Light House which is a 117-foot lighthouse was built in 1846 of cast iron – the oldest of its kind in the world, and one of only two cast-iron lighthouses still in existence. There you can also do a little shopping at the gift shop located at the base of the lighthouse. This stop overlooks the South Shore and Little Sound, offering views of both the City of Hamilton and the Royal Naval Dockyard.

  Somerset Bridge

  Somerset Bridge in Sandys Parish is famously known as the smallest drawbridge in the world. Built in the 1600s, its tiny center plank lifts just enough to let a sailboat’s mast pass through. Set between Somerset Island and the mainland, it’s a charming historic landmark and a popular photo stop along Bermuda’s scenic West End.

  Southlands Park

  Southlands Park is a 37 acre natural estate in Warwick Parish, known for its lush woodland, dramatic limestone quarry gardens, and secluded Marley Beach. Once a grand private estate dating back to the 1700s, it features exotic flora, garden pools, overgrown quarries, and historic architecture including the old Southlands house. Today, it’s a national park offering a quiet, scenic escape with tree canopies, walking paths, ponds, and one of Bermuda’s most unique natural landscapes.

  t. George’s, Bermuda is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and the oldest continuously inhabited English town in the New World. Founded in 1612, it’s filled with narrow cobblestone lanes, pastel‑coloured buildings, historic forts, and charming waterfront views. Visitors can explore iconic sites like St. Peter’s Church, the Town Hall, King’s Square, and nearby Fort St. Catherine, all while enjoying the town’s unique blend of living history and island beauty.
