Most Golden Circle tours show you 3 stops - we show you 5. Alongside pingvellir National Park, Geysir, and Gullfoss waterfall, we add the Hellisheioi Geothermal Power Station and the Kerið volcanic crater. Small minibus groups (max 19), professional Icelandic guides who grew up here, and authentic local storytelling at every stop.
We pick you up at your hotel in the Reykjavik area. Please be ready in the hotel lobby 10 minutes before your scheduled pickup time. Look for the Scenic Iceland Mercedes Sprinter minibus; the driver will be waiting with a sign showing the lead traveler's name. If you can't spot the minibus within 10 minutes of your scheduled time, please call the driver directly at +354 893 0049. Drop-off is at the same hotel.
Next, we visit the striking Kerio Crater, a turquoise lake nestled inside red volcanic rock. Located in the Grimsnes area, this lesser-known highlight is a true Scenic Iceland experience.
No Golden Circle tour is complete without a visit to Geysir, the original geyser. In this geothermal valley, you’ll see Strokkur erupt every few minutes - sometimes over 30 meters high. This is one of Iceland’s most iconic photo stops.
Just a short drive away is Gullfoss, a breathtaking two-tiered waterfall fed by glacial waters. View it from above and feel the spray - a powerful and unforgettable experience.
Your final stop is Þingvellir, one of Iceland’s most treasured sites - both historically and geologically. It’s where the Althing, the world’s oldest parliament, was founded in the year 930. You’ll walk between two tectonic plates at the Almannagja Rift and see Iceland’s largest natural lake, pingvallavatn.
Stop at the Hellisheidi Geothermal Power Station, one of the largest geothermal plants in the world. Learn how Iceland harnesses its volcanic energy for heat and electricity through the visitor centre exhibit.
