A guided walk through the museum's main halls: the history of TCM from ancient texts to modern practice, original medical instruments, herbal specimens, and historical case records. Your guide translates and contextualises the exhibits in plain English.
On the way from the museum to the TCM clinic, you’ll pass through the university’s outdoor medicinal garden, where more than 400 plant species are labelled and grouped by their traditional uses. If you’re interested, you can pause for a short optional walk and take a closer look at a few familiar herbs used in food, tea and everyday life. This is a brief stop along the route rather than a full garden tour.
Choose one treatment, performed by the same practitioner: • Cupping — glass or silicone cups applied to the back to improve circulation and release tension. Suitable for most people, leaves temporary marks. • Acupuncture — fine sterile needles placed at specific meridian points. Addresses a wide range of conditions from stress to muscle pain. Most guests find it less uncomfortable than expected. • Moxibustion — dried mugwort burned near acupuncture points to warm and stimulate energy flow. Gentle, deeply relaxing. • Gua sha — smooth tool used to scrape the skin along meridian lines, releasing stagnation. Most visible results of the four options. The experience ends at the clinic. Your guide will share contact details for follow-up questions, and the doctor can write a summary of their recommendations if requested.
