Puerto Maldonado - Tambopata National Reserve

Your adventure in the Peruvian jungle starts with the pick up at the airport.

After a short city tour around the city of Puerto Maldonado, we will take the motorboat at Puerto Capitanía towards the lodge located in the middle of the jungle, in a journey of 2 hours.

Tambopata National Reserve
The tour starts at Cocha Caiman, a small lagoon where black and white alligators abound. We will appreciate a beautiful sunset, and we will return to the lodge for a delicious dinner.

Day 2

Tambopata National Reserve
After breakfast, we will start a short trek within the jungle. During the tour, we will watch the flood forest and an amazing local flora and fauna, until you reach the spectacular Lake Apu Victor. We will go up to the Amazon viewpoint, to enjoy a lake panoramic view and its wonderful landscape. We will return to the lodge, to enjoy a good lunch.

In the afternoon, we will go to the Monkey Island to start a hike in this fantastic place, and be able to appreciate a great variety of monkey species as well like lazy bears if we have a bit of luck. By the end of the afternoon, we will appreciate a wonderful sunset, then return to the lodge and taste a good dinner.

Tambopata National Reserve
We will begin our journey with a short walk in the deep jungle until arriving at the Cocha Perdida, refuge of wild animals like otters, alligators, turtles, etc. We will arrive at the Amazon Viewpoint to admire the beauty of the jungle. Then, we will go canoeing around the lake, and we will back to the lodge for lunch. In the afternoon, you have the option to visit the local Botanical Garden or, if you wish, you can relax and take a fresh bath in the river. We will return to the lodge for dinner.

• Infants are required to sit on an adult’s lap
• Suitable for all physical fitness levels
• If you are a vegetarian, please notify us when booking.
• Although cases in the area are very rare, it is recommended to get vaccinated against Yellow Fever and Malaria days before traveling
• The lodge is powered by a limited power plant that only offers electricity service from 5pm to 10pm. During this period you can recharge batteries and make use of the fans offered in the facilities and rooms
• Large bags will stay at our offices at Puerto Maldonado. The boats are for passengers, so we recommend carrying a small backpack with all the necessary for your stay at the lodge
