    Saqqara & Dahshur

  • Step Pyramid of Djoser (Pass by)

    Visit Saqqara, including the Step Pyramid of Djoser (built around 2700 BC) and the Pyramid of Unas (around 2300 BC). See the oldest religious texts in history (the Pyramid Texts). Visit the tombs of the nobles, where you can admire scenes of daily life in ancient Egypt. Continue to the Dahshur Pyramids, located about 25 km south of Saqqara. Lunch. Visit the Papyrus Gallery.

    Coptic & Islamic Cairo

  • Cairo Citadel (Pass by)

    Visit the Coptic Quarter. Explore the Hanging Church. Visit the Church of Abu Serga, where the Holy Family is believed to have taken refuge for three months during their flight into Egypt. Visit the Ibn Tulun Mosque, famous for its spiral minaret. Visit two historic houses dating back to the 13th and 15th centuries. Visit the magnificent Citadel of Saladin. Lunch. Walk through the historic mosques and the old gates of Cairo.

    Giza Pyramids

    Visit the Pyramids of Giza. Visit the National Museum of Egyptian Civilization, where you will see the Royal Mummies. Lunch. If time permits, visit the Egyptian Museum.
