This is more than an art class—it’s a chance to create your own unique piece of Hawaiʻi with a local Big Island artist. I bring the experience to you, whether you’re staying at a vacation rental, hotel, or enjoying an ocean-view setting in Hilo’s Keaukaha area. No artistic experience is needed. Learn the fun, unpredictable techniques of acrylic pouring and create a colorful abstract painting inspired by Hawaiʻi’s natural beauty. Every painting is unique, giving you a meaningful handmade souvenir and memorable creative experience to take home.
What's Included
Meeting and pickup
The art instructor will meet you in person at the designated location for the class. Classes can take place at 1) at your accommodation 2) hotel and 3) beach park. Each of these options are subject to weather and availability.
What to expect
Spend a relaxing 90 minutes getting creative with Kate Asis, a Big Island artist inspired by Hawaii's ocean, tropical landscapes, flowers and vibrant island colors. No previous painting experience is necessary—I'll guide you through the process and help you create a beautiful abstract acrylic pour painting that is uniquely yours.
This is a hands-on experience designed for travelers, couples, families, friends and small groups. Choose from a selection of Hawaii-inspired color palettes and learn simple acrylic pouring techniques that allow the paint to flow, blend and create unexpected patterns.
The best part? There is no "right" painting. Every piece is completely unique.
