Your local guide leads the trek at a relaxed pace, and a traditional horse carriage rides alongside so anyone can rest whenever they like. What's Included
Meeting and pickup
Round-trip transfer from hotels in Sousse, Hammam Sousse, Port El Kantaoui and surrounding areas. Please wait outside at your hotel's main gate (roadside), not in the lobby, at least 10 minutes before your pickup time. Pickup is 20–35 minutes before departure. Your driver will contact you by phone, chat or WhatsApp on arrival, so please make sure your contact number is active. If you're staying in an apartment or private accommodation, wait outside the main entrance.
What to expect
Upon arrival at base camp, meet your experienced guide and gentle camels. Receive a quick safety orientation before mounting up and heading out along open trails. For your complete comfort, a traditional horse carriage accompanies the tour—if you need a rest at any point during the trek, you can comfortably switch to the carriage to relax.
Trek across scenic countryside tracks and salt flats toward the serene lake area. During the experience, enjoy a delicious local break featuring freshly baked traditional Tunisian bread ("Tabouna") served with pure local olive oil.
Keep your camera ready as you approach Flamingo Lake to capture memorable photo stops. Afterwards, return to base camp where your driver will provide a comfortable drop-off back to your hotel gate (up to 30m).
Note: Pricing is per participant, not per camel. Total activity duration covers camel riding, carriage availability, Tabouna bread tasting, photo stops, and 1 hour total transfers (30m pickup / 30m drop-off).
