The Great Pyramids of Giza. The Pyramids had been originally constructed to act like the Royal necropolis for the kings of the fourth dynasty from the old kingdom in the ancient Egyptian history. There are three pyramids in the area, the pyramid of Cheops (Khufu) or the great pyramid, the pyramid of Khafre and the smaller pyramid of Menkaure.
