Varanasi is located on the west bank of the river Ganga as it flows through the north Indian state of Uttar Pradesh. After attaining Nirvana, Buddha came to Varanasi in search of his five disciples. One of the oldest living cities of the world, Varanasi is held in high esteem by the Hindu devotees from all over. Once known as 'Kashi' and 'Banaras', the city of spiritual light - Varanasi lies on the banks of the holy river Ganga or the Ganges in Uttar Pradesh.
The eternal city, which is rich with its vibrant past, is believed to be the favorite place of the Hindu God Shiva, who is supposed to liberate the souls to receive moksha in the city of liberation or moksha - Varanasi.

Varanasi Tour Pick up from the hotel in the early morning at 05:30 hrs to start your adventure on the amazing boat ride on the Ganges with mesmerizing views of the sunrise. Ganges River The Ganges River is most sacred in Hindu conventional. It is understood as the symbol of the Goddess Ganga. Hinduism holds that bathing in the river on certain occasions causes forgiveness of transgressions and benefit attain salvation. After the boat ride, drop off at your hotel for a morning breakfast. Again, pick up from the hotel at 09:30 hrs. and drive to Sarnath. At Sarnath, visit Dhamekha Stupa, Sarnath Archaeological Museum, and Chaukhandi Stupa.
Dhamek Stupa represents that place where the Buddha preached his first discourse to his first five disciples Sarnath. This park is said to be of great importance as Buddha gave his first sermon here after attaining enlightenment to his disciples, which revealed his “Eightfold Path.
The Sarnath Archaeological Museum is most prominent for the four-headed lion that was once on the Chile of the Ashoka Pillar, from the 3rd century BC. This is where Gautama Buddha delivered the first major sermon to his first five disciples after gaining enlightenment.
The religious importance of the stupa is attributed to its history and the relic of Buddha reuniting with his five companions in Sarnath. Then drive back to Varanasi and have lunch at a good restaurant (optional) (1:00Pm to 2:00PM). After lunch, we will visit Banaras Hindu University, Tulsi Manas Temple, and Kashi Vishwanath Temple.

The Kashi Vishwanath Temple is a famous Hindu temple dedicated to Shiva. In the evening, watch the evening aarti ceremony on the banks of the Ganges. Later, drop to your hotel.
