Arrive at Porinou 5, 11742 inside the tour office to meet your licensed guide, an experienced archaeologist, and then start your unique combination of a tour. Enter from the south slope of the Acropolis and set off on your leisurely walking tour of some of the world’s finest monuments. Visit the Theater of Dionysus — an amphitheater that is arguably the birthplace of performing arts. Built between 447 and 438 BCE during the Athenian Golden Age, it is considered a masterpiece of classical architecture. The temple is known for its harmonious proportions, Doric design, and iconic columns. It originally housed a massive statue of Athena by Phidias. Though partially damaged over the centuries, the Parthenon symbolizes ancient Greek culture and democracy.
