Where it all began. Lyme Park’s magnificent Palladian façade and sweeping deer park provided the exterior of Pemberley itself, including the now-iconic scene of Mr Darcy’s unexpected dip in the lake. Entry is included in your tour price.
While Lyme Park brought Pemberley’s exterior to life, Sudbury Hall provided its grand interiors — including the magnificent gallery where Elizabeth wanders. Step inside one of the most recognisable filming locations from the series. Entry is not included in the tour price; tickets can be purchased on the day.
We pause for lunch in Buxton, one of England’s finest Regency spa towns. Although the town has no direct Pride and Prejudice connection, its elegant Georgian architecture, famous Crescent and refined Regency atmosphere make it a wonderfully fitting stop on your journey through the era.
This picturesque village stood in for Lambton, the market town where Elizabeth stays with the Gardiners during their Derbyshire visit — and where Mr Darcy comes to see her more than once. The building used as the exterior of the Lambton Inn can still be seen on Chapel Street today.
Rising dramatically on the Staffordshire–Derbyshire border, Ramshaw Rocks provides one of the tour’s most spectacular landscapes. This is where Elizabeth and the Gardiners pause during their Derbyshire travels to admire what the series describes as “the untamed beauty of the peaks” — a striking setting that captures the wild character of the Peak District.
After a full day exploring the landscapes and locations that brought Pride and Prejudice to life, sit back and relax as we make our way back to Manchester, arriving in the evening.
