What to expect

If you are an adventurer by nature, let us introduce you to a place that not many people even know exists, where you will enjoy a once-in-a-lifetime experience with us.

Every year during the same season, the humpback whale migrates from the cold waters of Antarctica to the warm waters of the South American Pacific in order to mate, give birth to their calves, and rest. These whales are the third heaviest and the fourth longest species in the world. The maximum recorded weight is 65 tons, and they can live up to approximately 50 years.

So, be sure to rest well, as our journey starts very early. The guide will contact you the day before to coordinate the meeting point at the Cali transportation terminal. From there, we will travel west to Buenaventura and then to Málaga Bay. In this little-known paradise for foreign travelers, you will take a speedboat to Uramba National Natural Park, a protected natural reserve where whales are frequently seen.

Keep in mind that these whales travel thousands of miles across the Pacific Ocean specifically to give birth, so sightings may vary. You may see several whales or just a few, which is why patience is essential during this experience.
