The journey will begin at Leticia’s airport. After paying the tourism tax, you will meet one of our local guides who will welcome you. Your first stop will be the San Antonio Indigenous Reserve. To visit this community, you will take walks through the jungle while learning about the medicinal uses of traditional plants. Enjoy your lunch and rest. Spend your first night in this reserve (you can choose to sleep in hammocks).
On your second day, enjoy breakfast and then return to Leticia to embark on a different adventure in the Flor de Loto Natural Reserve. Depending on the season, you will either navigate the flooded jungle or walk through it to reach the location. Here, you can enjoy many activities such as birdwatching, canoeing or kayaking, artisanal fishing, a night outing, and swimming in the lake or the Amazon River (depending on the season). Spend a night here completely disconnected.
On this day, enjoy your breakfast and then take a boat to reach Puerto Nariño, a beautiful small town without cars and with incredible views. After a short walk and enjoying a local lunch, you will tour the surrounding communities, visit the lookout tower, craft shops, relevant monuments for the community's history, and much more. Toward the end of the day, a family from the Tikuna indigenous community will invite you to dinner in their maloca. You will end the night with a nocturnal walk and return to your accommodation for rest.
After breakfast, you will take another boat to visit the Peruvian community of San Antonio, also known as Cacao Island. There, you will explore an ecological trail created by the community to observe, study, and protect primates, birds, and especially sloths. After the tour, you will enjoy a traditional lunch and return to Puerto Nariño. You will make one last stop at the Correo Lakes to look for pink and gray dolphins and enjoy a swim in its natural waters. You will return to your accommodation for your final night. (If chosen, a nocturnal safari can be arranged)
On your last day, after breakfast, you will visit the Natutama community project. This center, created by locals, aims to learn about and, above all, educate on the conservation of this region. After this visit, you will return to Leticia and head to the airport for your departure.
