Start off from your hotel/residence in Nairobi at 8 am for a drive to Amboseli National Park. On reaching the camp check in for lunch and relax after the drive. The afternoon gives a good opportunity for game viewing inside the park. Amboseli national park is a home to a large concentration of wildlife including large herds of elephants. For bird lovers, the Park hosts birds species estimated to be more than 400 species. Animals in the park are perfectly viewed from the observation hill and at sinet delta. Wind up in the evening as you return to your camp for dinner and overnight.
After breakfast you will have morning and afternoon game drives with a lunch break. Amboseli is one of the most scenic national parks in Kenya. It is crowned by Mount Kilimanjaro, the highest peak in Africa. In the morning if the sky is clear you will have amazing views of this snow-capped mountain. The park has 5 distinct environments that range from wetlands/ swamps to Savanna and woodlands, which has supported the thriving of several wildlife species. In the evening return to your camp for dinner and overnight.
Early breakfast at the camp then drive to Lake Nakuru, a few hours’ drive away. Check in to have lunch at your hotel as you relax after the journey. The afternoon offers an opportunity for game viewing in the park. Lake Nakuru is now a rhino sanctuary, harbouring a population of over 40 black and over 60 white rhinos, but the flamingos, of course, have always been the main attraction. At times there may be almost 2 million flamingos in the residence, forming a stunningly beautiful deep pink band around the edge of the lake shore. Return to your hotel for dinner and overnight.
You will have an early morning drive to Masai Mara. Check in at your camp for lunch and relax a bit after the drive. Head into the park in the afternoon for game viewing. Masai Mara has abundant elephant, buffalo, giraffe, lion and cheetah alongside the migratory wildebeest and zebra. Leopards are frequently encountered, endangered black rhino hide in the dense thickets and large rafts of hippo and enormous crocodiles are found in the Mara River. The park is also home to over 450 bird species. Dinner and overnight at your camp.
This day you will have an extensive game drive with packed lunch served picnic-style inside the park. We can arrange a balloon safari on this day at extra cost. "Mara" means "spotted" in the local Maasai language, because of the short bushy trees which dot the landscape. The park hosts the Great Migration, which secured it as one of the Seven Natural Wonders of Africa, and as one of the ten Wonders of the World. Wind up your safari in the evening as you drive back to your camp.
After breakfast at your lodge, bid Masai Mara goodbye as you drive back to Nairobi. There will be lunch reserved for you at the famous Carnivore restaurant when you arrive. After lunch drop off at city hotel/JKIA Airport depending on your flight timings.
