Xinbeitou Historic Station is the only remaining century-old station in Taipei City. Its station body is made of wood. The carved brackets under the eaves and the 3+1 dormer windows created by the expansion of the station in 1937 are a major feature of the station architecture.
Beitou public library is Taiwan's first "Green" library. It resembles a large treehouse just waiting to welcome readers from everywhere. This distinctive structure is located in the lush green environs of Beitou Hot Spring Park, near the Beitou Hot Spring Museum.
This museum is housed in public hot spring bath built during the Japanese colonial era. Now it is a good place to learn about Beitou's rich hot spring culture and history.
Beitous Plum Garden was built in the late 1930s, serving as a Western-style villa that witnessed the wartime era. You can learn about art and various cultural customs in Beitou.
It was exploited in 1911, a source of green sulfur hot spring. The misty phenomenon year-round has created a fantastic atmosphere there.
The Beitou Museum is dedicated to preserving and showcasing early Taiwanese folk art and cultural artifacts. Currently, it houses a collection of nearly five thousand items, focusing mainly on Taiwanese folk crafts and traditions from the late Qing Dynasty through the Japanese colonial period and up until the 1970s.
