Fènqì Hú is a major station on the Alishan Forest Railway. This narrow-gauge railway, built during the Japanese colonial period, was originally used to transport timber from Alishan. Today, it has become a scenic tourist route. As it's also about the time for lunch when you arrive, "Fenqi Hu Bento" is something you should definitely not miss out!
Situated in the mountainous region of Chiayi County, Alishan is famous for its towering ancient trees, stunning landscapes, and the unique phenomenon known as the "sea of clouds." Visitors to Alishan can experience a serene environment filled with lush greenery, scenic walking trails, and refreshing mountain air. The most visited attractions in Alisha Area are Numaping Station, Sister Ponds, Magnolia Garden, Shenyi Waterfall, Shouzhen Temple, and more.
Alishan is most famous for its beautiful sunrise, you cannot say that you've been to Alishan without seeing the view yourself! Please note that the sunrise time differs everyday, and double check the schedule with your guide to take the Zhushan Sunrise Watching Train in early morning.
This attraction is designed to be a resting place between Alishan and Sun Moon Lake, as the drive will take around 3 hours. It might be adjusted based on the situation of the guests.
The name "Sun Moon Lake" comes from its unique shape. The eastern part of the lake resembles the shape of a crescent moon, while the western part is round like the sun. This is how it got its name, "Sun Moon Lake" (日月潭). The Chinese characters for 日 (sun) and 月 (moon) symbolize the harmony of opposites, which adds a poetic element to the place.
Passengers will take a sightseeing boat here and enjoy the beautiful scenery of Sun Moon Lake from the center of the lake. After the end, tourists can also rent bicycles at Shuishe Pier at their own expense and ride along the lake.
Wen wu Temple integrates traditional Chinese architectural style. The red roof, exquisitely carved wooden beams, cornices and other designs make the whole temple look solemn and grand. The temple also displays numerous carvings, such as finely carved dragon columns and painted ceilings, showing the artistic beauty of traditional architecture.
Miyahara is a red-brick architecture built by Miyahara Takeo, a Japanese ophthalmology doctor in 1927. It was the largest ophthalmology clinic in Taichung during the Japanese colonial period. Fortunately, Dawn Cake, a pastry company renowned for its pineapple cakes, acquired the building and preserved Miyahara's original red-brick walls and archway. The famous "Fourth Credit Union" is always transformed by "Dawn Cake" company and turns into a unique ancient style of dessert store.

Known as Shenji Village, originally it used as a dormitory for government employees. Nowadays it's been transformed into a cultural and creative base with creative local market on weekend.
The most famous architectural landmark in Taichung City - the National Opera House is designed by Japanese architect, Toyo Ito. The building features an organic, curvaceous shape, with flowing forms that are meant to resemble natural elements like caves or the flowing of water. The design emphasizes open spaces and continuous curves, with no traditional right angles or sharp corners.
The schedule is specially arranged so that group tourists can enjoy the beautiful sunset of Gaomei Wetland. If you look carefully, you can also find creatures such as mudskippers and fiddler crabs.
