This one-of-a-kind history and nature tour combines the best of Taiwan's ancient historical treasures and its splendid natural beauty, bringing you from one of Taiwan's most popular spots for temple hopping to the island's most scenic mountain regions. Along the way, you'll explore traditional art and culture, eat a plethora of delicious Taiwanese dishes, drink some of the world's finest tea, forest-bathe amid ancient trees, and witness both an unforgettable sunrise and sunset from a mountain peak. There will also be plenty of opportunities to explore, both in the winding lanes and alleys of Ancient Lugang and in the high-altitude forests of Alishan.

History is the focus of day one. After picking you up, we'll head to Lugang
Lugang, Taiwan’s second-oldest city, is a colorful, history-rich town on the west coast with more than 200 temples. We’ll visit Longshan and Tienhou temple, two of Taiwan’s most important temples, each with over 300 years of history, and experience their intricate architecture, incense-filled halls, and vibrant local worship.
Experience Lugang's charm from a unique perspective with a traditional rickshaw ride through the historic, winding, art-filled streets, lanes, and alleys of Lugang.
On day two the focus turns to central Taiwan's astounding natural beauty as we head into the mountains, stopping at the tea farm to learn all the knowledge about tea and sample some world-famous high mountain oolong tea.
Visit Yuantan Ecological Park, known for its beautiful natural landscapes, before continuing on to the higher altitudes of the Alishan Forest Recreation Area.
After reaching the heart of the Alishan Scenic area in time to relax before watching an absolutely epic sunset over the mountains.
We'll want to rise early on day three to take the Alishan Forest Railway to the peak, for it's here where we'll witness the famed sea of clouds as they roll through the valleys below in the hour after sunrise.
After witnessing this magnificent sunrise spectacle, we'll take some time to hike among ancient cypress trees and breathe in the cool mountain air.
Following breakfast, we'll visit an indigenous culture center where you'll learn about the indigenous people who have lived harmoniously with Alishan throughout the decades. Here, you'll watch captivating indigenous performances showcasing the traditions and origin stories passed down from their ancestors, all while enjoying breathtaking views of high mountains and tea plantations.
We'll then make our way back to Taipei via comfortable coach and high-speed rail.
