Step off your cruise ship and discover Thessaloniki on a shore excursion designed especially for cruise passengers. This tour combines the city’s main highlights with lesser-known spots, offering a great introduction to its history, culture, and local character.
With more than ten years of experience, we ensure a smooth and easy day, carefully planned around your cruise schedule. Travel in a comfortable, air-conditioned vehicle and explore the city with a knowledgeable local guide. Highlights include the White Tower, the Arch of Galerius, St. Demetrius Church, and Eptapyrgio Fortress. You will also have free time in the city center to explore!
Please note that the final part of the tour includes a walk of around 30 minutes.
After your free time at Aristotelous Square, your guide will walk you back to the port, just a short distance away.

Meeting and pickup
Your guide will be waiting to greet you at the 'Alexander the Great Terminal' in Thessaloniki Port, holding a sign that reads 'VEXPERIO'. After disembarking from your cruise ship, please remain inside the terminal area. Your guide will meet you in the parking area.

After being picked up directly from the port, you'll meet your friendly, English-speaking guide and board a comfortable, air-conditioned vehicle to begin your adventure.

2White Tower of Thessaloniki
Start your Thessaloniki tour with a visit to the White Tower, the most recognizable symbol of Thessaloniki, located along a picturesque seaside promenade. Originally built as a defensive fortification, it now represents the city’s rich heritage. You’ll be able to admire the exterior of the tower and enjoy the beautiful coastal views, including the nearby statue of Alexander the Great.

3Arch of Galerius
Next, visit the Arch of Galerius, an impressive Roman monument from the 4th century, featuring detailed carvings that celebrate Emperor Galerius’ triumph over the Persians. A brief stroll brings you to the Rotonda, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the earliest Christian buildings in existence, where you can admire its exterior.

4Holy Church of Saint Demetrius, Patron Saint of Thessalonica
Visit the outside of St. Demetrius Church, a stunning Byzantine monument honoring the patron saint of Thessaloniki. Known as an important pilgrimage destination, it features elaborate architectural elements and beautiful mosaics that can be seen from the entrance. If you like, you’ll also have the chance to go inside and discover its richly decorated interior.

5Eptapyrgio Castle
Head up to Ano Poli, the Upper Town, to explore the Eptapyrgio Fortress and the ancient city walls. 6The Greek Agora and Roman Forum

7Aristotelous Square

The last part of the tour involves a 30-minute stroll.

8Port of Thessaloniki
Once you’ve enjoyed some free time at Aristotelous Square, your guide will escort you back to the port. The walk is brief, so you’ll return to your ship in just a few minutes.
