Nine Arches Bridge
Built at 3100m above sea level. Among the craggy peaks of the Central Highlands the Nine Arches forms a viaduct between the Demodara and Ella Railway stations. This bridge, which is almost 100 years old, has been built with blocks of stone and cement without any strengthening iron or concrete. The giant arches take the bridge on a curved path to link to mountains. The Bridge was commissioned in 1921 under the British Government.

Sinharaja Rain Forest is one of the few virgin forests left in the world. This evergreen rain forest, a UNESCO World heritage site, is one of the few virgin rain forests left to date. Damp mysterious and teeming with life, is the last expensive stretch of virgin rain forest on the island. At just over 11000 hectares, line across the wet zone the Southern edge of the hill country.
