Private Walking Tour, Around the Red Lights of Amsterdam

2 hours (approximately)
Pickup offered
Offered in: English

It is not permitted to enter the actual red zone with a tour, but our guide will take you as close as possible, so you can get a feel of this unique part of Amsterdam. This tour explores the diverse community that has grown into Amsterdam's Red Light District, and how it has evolved over the centuries.

This part of the city has a lot more to offer than the colour of the lights & ways to get high. As you walk around 'De Wallen', you will learn how our city formed into a prominent player on the world's trading routes. It was the sailors and local traders who enabled this area to flourish.

This tour is designed to show how this community has grown with the windows, rather than against them. This tour is not about voyeurism or exploitation; it is a way to discover the community that many miss as they pass through the oldest part of the city.

At the end of the tour, you get a refreshing drink. Maybe try a traditional jenever in a brown bar?

No additional costs on this tour.

What's Included

Have a delicious beer brewed in a famous micro-brewery, or kiss the jenever at a traditional brown cafe.
