This 4-day, 3-night experience offers travelers a deeper and more authentic immersion in the Peruvian Amazon, beyond a typical day trip. After traveling approximately two hours by boat from Iquitos, guests stay at Yakumama Amazon Lodge in a private room with a private bathroom.
With a maximum of eight travelers, the small-group format provides more personal attention from our local English- and Spanish-speaking guide. The program combines guided rainforest hikes, sunrise birdwatching, piranha fishing, canoe and river excursions, night walks and respectful wildlife observation.
Ten scheduled meals, drinking-water refills, rubber boots and life jackets are included. Activities are adapted to weather, river levels and wildlife activity, allowing travelers to experience the Amazon safely and naturally. We never force animal interactions, and wildlife sightings cannot be guaranteed.

Pickup details:

Pickup service is included from centrally located hotels, including DoubleTree by Hilton Iquitos and other accommodations in the city center.

If airport pickup is required, passengers must arrive on flights landing before 9:00 a.m.
After completing the reservation, it is mandatory to contact us in advance to provide the flight number and arrival time, so we can properly coordinate the pickup service.

What to expect

Over four days, travelers will journey by boat from Iquitos into the Peruvian Amazon and spend three nights at Yakumama Amazon Lodge. The programme includes guided rainforest walks, sunrise birdwatching, piranha fishing, canoe and river excursions, wildlife observation and night explorations. Travelers will visit lagoons and rainforest waterways while searching for monkeys, sloths, pink river dolphins, tropical birds, caimans, frogs and other native wildlife. Depending on river conditions and local coordination, the experience may also include a visit to an Amazonian community or the Monkey Island area. Guests stay in a private room with a private bathroom and receive 10 scheduled meals. Activities may change according to weather, river levels and wildlife activity. Animal sightings are not guaranteed.
