Currently, Auschwitz-Birkenau is a synonym for the world’s most cruel terror, genocide and atrocities. The camp was built in 1940 by the Nazis in the suburbs of Oświęcim. The total number of deaths and executions is estimated at over 1.1 million people from 28 nationalities. Since 1979, this site has been listed on the UNESCO Cultural and Natural World Heritage list.
The English Guide (Hotel Pickup and Meeting Point) tour options include a visit to both parts of the camp, Auschwitz I and Auschwitz II-Birkenau. This tour is available with shared transfers, entrance fees and a live guide.

Memorial and Museum Auschwitz-Birkenau
Start your trip from a convenient meeting point near the Old Town. Select an option with hotel pickup or a private transfer if you wish to start the trip from your local accommodation.
Begin your visit with a guide at the first part of the memorial, the former mother camp known as Auschwitz I. Here you will walk through the camp grounds, go into the prisoner blocks and visit the first crematorium. You will see the historical documents, photos and material evidence prepared by the museum in the original buildings of the former camp.
After the visit at Auschwitz I, you will have a short break about 15 minutes. Then your driver will take you to the parking by Auschwitz II Birkenau. From here you will walk to the historical Birkenau Gate to meet you guide for the second part of your visit.
You will return to a central drop-off location near the Market Square in Kraków. In the private transfer without tickets, your drop-off will be at an address of your choosing. This includes accommodations, restaurants, cinemas, theatres, or attractions within the allowed range, excluding pedestrian-only and traffic-restricted areas.
