You will meet the local tour guide and other travelers who will share the walking tour with you, in the square where you'll start the walking tour listening the history of Matera and enjoying the view from the balcony. Matera is a UNESCO world heritage and has been elected European Capital of Culture 2019, a precious recognition of its history and its beauty, carved in stone. Walking among the stones, houses and churches carved into the rock and admiring the newly restored cathedral, are certainly unique experiences; but they will be even more beautiful if lived in the company of other people, letting themselves be guided by the explanations of an expert dedicated tour guide. You will be completely immersed in a magical landscape, unique in the world, and you will be able to see all the main monuments of Matera. You will be fascinated to discover the existence of houses, churches carved into the rock, where some inhabitants lived until the first half of the twentieth century.
