We shall meet you at the Entebbe Airport. But if you will already be at a facility, let us know the name and we shall meet you at your facility.
The pick-up will be from either; the Hotel or from the Entebbe Airport upon arrival. The assigned Professional English-speaking Tour Driver-guide will pick/receive you and hit the road to Murchison Falls NP. The highlights of this park include; the roaring rapids of the Murchison, the rolling plains of Uganda’s largest National Park where you will have the chance of viewing lions, giraffes, hartebeest, buffalo, and elephants among others. We will have a lunch stop in Masindi and then continue our journey into the Murchison. *Detour to visit the top of the falls to truly appreciate the beauty and magnificence of the Murchison Falls and thereafter, we head to the accommodation. *Info: It is also possible to first do game drive in the park and then finally, head to the accommodation.
Be up early and we proceed for a fully packed wildlife viewing opportunity in the park. Murchison Falls NP is a home to different wildlife species such as; Buffalos, Jackson hartebeests, elephants, Lions, Giraffes, leopards, Hyenas, among others. They are widely spread all over the Savannah grasslands, grazing or hunting for prey. These make the park's landscape so amazing for game viewing/game driving. At around 10:30am, drive to the boat area and proceed on a boat trip upstream towards the falls. Common sighting along the banks are; Hippos, crocodiles and a few bird species. From the boat, we shall move to Red Chilli and enjoy hot lunch there. After the lunch, we can move back for the second leg of our game viewing. After a satisfying day’s encounter, we shall head back to the lodge to freshen up – awaiting dinner and the overnight stay.
Be up early and we move for another sunrise game viewing until about 10am. From the game drive, embark on the drive to Budongo Forest Reserve. Budongo is astonishingly bio-diverse, with 24 mammal species, over 360 birds, 289 butterflies and 465 plants. Budongo is also known for its primate population, which includes around 800 chimpanzees. We shall arrive in time for the briefing. From the briefing, we shall proceed to encounter the Human’s closest relatives with the wild. Enjoy a guided primate walk in the lush expenses of the tropical forest in search of the habituated chimpanzee family. Your guide will explain more about the animals and plants species that you encounter on your way. After the trek, we shall drive to Masindi and check in at the booked facility.
There will be breakfast and then we embark on a transfer to Zziwa Rhino Sanctuary – a successful conservation effort that was set to save the near-extinct rhino population in Uganda. Today, visitors to Uganda have a chance to encounter rhinos thanks to this effort. Once in Zziwa, we will proceed for an hour of on-foot rhino tracking. From the rhino tracking, we shall go straight to the accommodation. There will be lunch and some rest. At around 4pm, move out to explore the Zziwa on a guided nature walk. Walking through this Sanctuary enables one to get a glimpse of the diverse and plentiful wildlife that call this place home. Besides wildlife sighting, you simply get to breathe in the pristine fresh air and soak in wonderful scenery. Just being close to nature. Thereafter, return to the lodge for dinner.
Be up early and proceed for the (06:00am) shoebill trek and canoe ride through the Lugogo swamp with the opportunity to find the pre-historic shoebill stork among other bird species in the area, but also to see the beautiful Ugandan sunrise over Lugogo Swamp. After this excursion, we will return to the facility and then set off for a return journey to Entebbe (with drop off at the Airport or facility of your personal booking).
