4Zhujiajiao Ancient Town
11:30 AM: Get on the bus and depart for the enchanting Zhujiajiao Water Town. It'll take about 1 hour driving. Once arrvie in Zhujiajiao, you will enjoy a Shanghai-style light meal and sample local snacks. After lunch, immerse yourself in Zhujiajiao, often called the 'Venice of Shanghai,' where you can stroll across centuries-old stone bridges, glide along peaceful canals, and discover hidden traditional gardens. In centuries past Zhujiajiao was a trading area: the many canals were used to ferry products along in little boats and barges. Small boats are ubiquitous there, functioning as a nice way to get a view of the town and experience local life. Your tour guide will help you explore three carefully-selected places along the waterway.
