    Your friendly driver will pick you up at 4:45.p.m from Shanghai downtown hotel and head to Shanghai Railway Station to catch your overnight train to Beijing. Your driver will assist with obtain the pre-purchased train tickets for you and take you to the waiting room.

    Tiananmen Square and Forbidden City, Hutong and Temple of Heaven (L)

    Temple of Heaven

    Upon arrival, your friendly local guide and driver will pick you up at Beijing Railway Station, then head to your first stop-Temple of Heaven, the largest religious building in China. It was originally used by the Ming and Qing emperors to pay homage to heaven and to pray for a year of rich harvest, and locals now come to the temple to practice Tai Chi, sing, and dance.

    Tiananmen Square (Tiananmen Guangchang)

    After enjoy a tasty local lunch, continue to visit the Tiananmen Square, located in the centre of Beijing. It encompassed 108.7 acres,880 meters from north to south and 500 meters from east to west, big enough to hold a half million people.

    Forbidden City-The Palace Museum

    Followed by a visit to the Forbidden City, which is the best preserved imperial palace in China and the largest palace with 9,999.5 rooms. The splendid architecture of the Forbidden City represents the essence and culmination of traditional Chinese architectural accomplishment. After the tour, you will be transferred back to your Beijing hotel (at your own arrangement).

    Mutianyu Great Wall and Summer Palace (L)

    Mutianyu Great Wall

    Meet your guide and driver at your hotel lobby in the morning, and drive about 1.5 hours to the Mutianyu Great Wall, the best welcomed by travelers for its picturesque scenery, fewer tourist, and beautifully-restored architecture. You can either choose taking a cable car up and cable car down or chair lift up to the Wall and toboggan down. Spend 2-3 hours hiking on the Wall.

    Summer Palace (Yiheyuan)

    After a local dumpling lunch, continue to the Summer Palace. Spend the rest of the afternoon at the Summer Palace, a well-preserved royal garden. It has been listed in the World Heritage Sites and considered as one of the most classical gardens of the world. Finish the day with return transfer to your Beijing downtown hotel (at your own arrangement). If you choose tour ends Shanghai, you will be transferred to Beijing Railway station to catch your departure overnight train around 8:00.p.m back to Shanghai.Your driver will hold a sign with your full name on it and meet you at Shanghai Railway Station, then transfer back to your Shanghai hotel.
