Safety comes first! Before we send you off on your way, we will make sure you have exactly the right vehicle for your comfort, whether it be a bike or electric vehicle. If you feel you need to bike with a helmet, just let us know and we will make sure you have one. Our expert staff will make sure you know how to work your chosen vehicle and let you ride on it first to make sure you are comfortable with it and know how it works. We have various routes to choose from where you can easily go off on your own. Just scan the code and the route will open in Googlemaps. (Make sure your maps are set to bike and not car for routes). Thousands of people have done this, and, we haven’t lost one person yet. If you prefer a guided tour instead, we can arrange that as well. (Guide requests must be made well in advance).

What to expect
Starting from the famous harbour of Volendam, you can cycle through the beautiful Waterland region and visit iconic Dutch villages such as Edam, Monnickendam and Marken. Along the way you will pass endless green meadows, canals, traditional farms and breathtaking views over the lakes and dikes that make this part of the Netherlands world famous.
Within just one hour you can reach Edam, known for its narrow historic streets, cozy canals, unique boutiques and the famous Dutch cheese market. Another beautiful stop is Monnickendam, where you can enjoy picturesque harbours, authentic Dutch architecture and relaxing waterfront terraces.
One of the highlights of the route is the former island of Marken, connected by a spectacular dike road surrounded by water. From Marken you can even take the famous Volendam-Marken Express boat back to Volendam while bringing your bike on board.
