Your guide will help you track wildlife, explain animal behavior, and take you to the best viewing spots for photos. Along the way, you will learn about conservation efforts protecting this important ecosystem, with chances to stop at scenic viewpoints and observe birds and plains game up close, making it an exciting and authentic safari experience without leaving the city.
When you visit the Giraffe Centre, you will get the chance to stand on a raised platform and hand-feed endangered Rothschild’s giraffes as they come right up to you, making it a fun and memorable experience with great photo opportunities. Our guides will share simple, interesting facts about the giraffes and the conservation work being done to protect them. You can also take a short, peaceful walk along the nature trail through indigenous forest, where you may spot birds and small wildlife, before relaxing at the café or browsing the gift shop, knowing your visit directly supports wildlife conservation in Kenya.
At the Karen Blixen Museum, you will step into the former home of the author of Out of Africa and be guided through the beautifully preserved house where she lived in the early 1900s. You will see original furniture, photographs, and personal items while learning about her life, her writing, and Kenya’s colonial history. As you walk through the gardens at the foot of the Ngong Hills, your guide will share stories that bring the era to life, giving you a calm, cultural experience that complements Nairobi’s wildlife attractions.
