The centre was created in response to the alarming decline of the Rothschild’s giraffe, a rare subspecies found only in the grasslands of East Africa. Its primary mission is to educate Kenyan school children and youth about the country's wildlife and environment, while also offering both local and international visitors a unique opportunity to come into close contact with giraffes.
