Longshan Temple
In the morning, we will firstly visit Longshan Temple, one of the three most important temple in Taiwan, very prosperous.

Chiang Kai-Shek Memorial Hall
Visit Chiang Kai-Shek Memorial Hall, built in memory of Chiang Kai-shek, who is the military leader of China's Nationalist Party. It is interesting to see their hourly shift change ceremony if time is right.

National Palace Museum
After lunch we will head to Taipei National Palace Museum, a famous museum of history, culture and art in China. Jadeite Cabbage, Meat-shaped Stone and Mao Gong Ding are three important treasures of the museum you should not miss.

Shilin Night Market
Then, we will take you to have a guided food tour at Shilin Night Market, Taipei's largest night market. With your guide's recommendation and selection, you will taste the most distinctive food and learn about the ingredients, preparation methods and many interesting stories. The price of tasting food is included in the itinerary, and all you need to do is prepare an empty stomach for a gourmet adventure.

Day 3
Drive from Taipei to Lugang, Chun Shui Tang, Sunset at Gaomei Wet Land

Today, we will drive 2.5 hours onward to visit Lugang Old Town. Walk along the old streets, and we will make several stops to visit some of the temples, like the Longshan Temple and Matsu temples. Later, we will alight at the Lugang Osmanthus Alley Artist Village, where you will be guided to create your own traditional dough figurine. After that, we will have an afternoon tea break at the origin store of Chun Shui Tang, where it is said that bubble tea was invented. The restaurant is very popular and there are often long lines outside. The time we plan to get there is not rush hour. Generally, we can sit back and enjoy a cup of authentic bubble tea. In case there are more people, we'll buy one to take away. At the end of today's tour, we'll head to Gaomei Wetland for one of Taiwan's most spectacular sunsets if in a sunny day. Or we will visit Fengjia Night Market instead if the weather is not good.

Day 4
Drive from Taichung to Sun Moon Lake

Sun Moon Lake
After have breakfast at the hotel, we will drive to Sun Moon Lake for about 2 hours. With a guided tour, you will experience different ways to visit Sun Moon Lake. You'll hike the lake's secret attractions, ride along the elegant shoreline in the breeze, take a boat ride to see the water up close and enjoy panoramic views of the lake surrounded by mountains from a cable car. In addition to the natural landscape, you will also visit cultural sites such as Xuanguang Temple and Wenshu Temple.

Day 5
Tribal Folk Culture Experience, Drive to Tainan

Sun Moon Lake
This morning, we will take an unusual journey to indigenous Meixi Tribe in Sun Moon Lake to learn about Seediq people’s traditional culture. Activities there include trying their unique costumes, visiting their traditional houses, experiencing archery and enjoying traditional food. In the afternoon, drive 2.5 hours to Tainan and check in at the hotel.

Anping Fort (Anping gubao)
Today is dedicated to exploring Tainan, a historic city with far-reaching cultural significance. This morning, we will meander along the old stone streets and make delightful stops to visit Anping Fort and Anping Tree House.

This afternoon, continue to visit Sicao Green Tunnel. Sit in a small boat and slowly move forward, you will see the dense green branches reflected in the calm water, as if you are venturing into the jungle.

After that, we will visit Jingzaijiao Tile - Paved Salt Field, the oldest existing salt pan in Taiwan. There are some sections with salt and tools for travelers to experience salt farm ploughing, such as solar salt, pick salt and collect salt. At the end of the day, we will take you to visit Huayuan Night Market and then transfer you back to the hotel.

Day 7
Tainan: Chihkan Tower, Confucius Temple; Drive to Taipei

Chihkan Tower (Fort Provintia)
Continue your visit at Tainan to learn more about Taiwan's ancient history. We'll start with a visit to Chihkan Tower. The tower was built by the Dutch in 1624. It has witnessed Zheng Chenggong's great achievements in recovering Taiwan, as well as the changes of Taiwan's political power and historical vicissitudes. Next, we will visit the Confucius Temple, the first Confucian temple built in Taiwan and the first institution of higher learning established in Taiwan after Zheng Chenggong recovered the island. Then, we will drive onward to Taipei in about 5 hours. Upon arrival, check in at the hotel.
