During the rest of the day, you could have a good rest and later explore nearby places by yourself. You could go to the 93rd Street Park, only 11-minute walk from your hotel, one of the most popular commercial and recreational areas in Bogota, surrounded by various restaurants, cafes, bars and nightclubs.
After breakfast, we will visit the Paloquemao market.
Afterwards, our guide and the driver will lead you to visit Mount Monserrate, located at the city center, over 3,150 meters (10,334 feet) above its base. You can walk along the trail to its top and catch a magnificent vista of the city's landscape.
Then we will pay a visit to La Candelaria, a historical area of the city featuring colonial architectures. We will first stroll around Plaza de Bolivar, a major square surrounded by historical buildings like the Palace of Justice, National Capitol, and The Primary Cathedral of Bogota etc.
Then we will explore the nearby Museo de Botero, an outstanding art museum donated and curated by Fernando Botero, the most famous living artist of Colombia.
Next, pay a visit to Museo del Oro containing a super huge collection of elaborate gold artifacts.
After breakfast, we will go to visit the Guatavita Lagoon, 1.5-hour drive from your hotel.
Then we will drive 3 hours to a charming colonial town called Villa de Leyva.
Today we will go to visit El Infiernito, a pre-Columbia site for religious ceremonies at the outskirt of Villa de Leyva, consisting of a mysterious subterranean altar, settings of upright standing stones and several earthen mounds.
Then we will tour around the Vineyard Aim Karim and see how wine is made in a tropical setting.
Next, we will go to Monasterio Del Santo Eccehomo, a peaceful convent built in 1620 with a gorgeous courtyard and fossil decorated floors and walls, and Casa Terracota, a unique house entirely made of clay and the world's largest of its type.
After breakfast, we will transfer you to the Bogota airport for the flight to Medellin, the second-largest city in Colombia. Upon landing in Medellin, the guide and the driver based there will transfer you to the hotel.
Today your Colombia holiday packages in Medellin will start with a visit to Museo de Antioquia.
Next, head to Museum of Modern Art.
Then, pay a visit to Pueblito Paisa.
Then we will proceed to Comuna 13. Located along a steep hillside, Comuna 13 was recognized as the most violent neighborhood in Medellin for once being the most dangerous crime city in the world dominated by the infamous drug dealer Pablo Escobar. Now it has been transformed into a popular street-art center for graffiti. Our guide will lead you to take the metrocable to reach the neighborhood and share with you the hidden history behind these fantastic graffiti
This morning, we will drive 2 hours to visit Guatape, a charming town sitting by a large reservoir, famous for streets lined with brightly hued houses.
When arrive, we will first climb to the top of El Peñol, an upright inselberg located to the southwest of the town. It is about 200 meters (656 feet) in height and visitors could go up to the top by a stairway built along one of the rock break and overlook surrounding landscape. Later, we will knock around the town and sightsee its colorful buildings.
After the sightseeing, you will be transferred to take the flight to Cartagena. The local guide at Cartagena will pick you up and send you to the hotel.
In the morning, we will visit the Monastery of San Pedro Claver and its church.
There we will also pay a visit to Castillo de San Felipe de Barajas, a 16-century fortress built to defend its people from invaders' attacks including pirates raids.
In the morning, the driver will take you to the wharf and then change to a boat to Islas del Rosario in 45 minutes. Islas del Rosario is an archipelago and a national park established to protect the coral reefs along Colombia Caribbean coast. After arrival, you can take a walk along the pristine beach and then have a scuba diving or snorkeling adventure to explore vibrant marine life. At dusk, go back to Cartagena.
