Welcome to Malta! When you arrive at Malta International Airport, your private driver will pick you up and send you to the hotel in St. Julian’s, a town in eastern Malta, in 20 minutes’ drive. The rest of the day is free for you to wander around or relax in the hotel room.
★ Explore Valletta - A City Built by Knights The entire city of Valletta was listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site as early as 1980. Your guide will lead you to visit the mighty fortresses and beautiful Baroque buildings. Our first stop is Upper Barraka Gardens, a garden in the air.
Then, follow your guide to walk to the Auberges, which were built in the 16th century. Next, let’s head to the Grand Master’s Palace. Used to be the power center during The Order’s rule, it was the first building constructed by the Knights of St. John in Valletta.
After that, we’ll come to one of the most iconic landmarks of Valletta - St. John’s Co-Cathedral. A marvelous treasure trove of art is hidden inside the plain beige exterior of the cathedral.
Next, we’ll drive to the Hagar Qim Temple, another World Heritage Site. Perched on a hill in the south of Malta, it is one of the oldest among the country’s 30 megalithic temples.
Afterward, let’s step into Marsaxlokk Fishing Village and get into the spirit of the Mediterranean.
Then, we’ll explore the ancient city of Mdina on foot. After visiting, you’ll be sent back to the hotel.
After breakfast, your guide will pick you up from the hotel and accompany you to take a 25-minute ferry ride to Gozo Island.
First, we’ll explore the Neolithic megalithic temples on Gozo Island - Ggantija Temples.
Then we’ll pass through a village to the legendary Calypso’s Cave, where you can overlook the red sand beaches of Ramla Bay below. Next, we’ll drive to the Fontana Cottage, where you could see an array of local specialties, handmade clothing and delicious snacks. Free fruit liqueur tasting is available, including the unique cactus liqueur.
At noon we’ll go to the beautiful Xlendi Bay, a hidden gem of Gozo Island.
In the afternoon, the guide will lead you to the Dwejra Bay. Although the Azure Window has turned into a relic, Dwejra Bay is still a charming spot. Beside the Inland Sea is the Blue Hole, a natural sea pool.
Finally, we’ll visit the Victoria City, the largest city on Gozo Island.
On the city’s highest point sits the Citadel, the history of which can be traced back to 1500 BC. After visit, we will return to the ferry terminal for the boat back to Malta Island, and you will be escorted to the hotel.
As the Island holiday ends, we will transfer you to Malta International Airport. Wish you a pleasant trip home.
