    Ring of Beara is loop drive around Beara Peninsula through most colourful villages. Ardgroom, Eyeries and Allihies, villages like from a fairy tale. Castletownbere town is great spot for lunch. Fishing town offering freshest seafood , nearly straight from the boat. Healy Pass in the middle of Beara peninsula is not at the Ring really but must not be skipped. Private tourers can reach this spectacular viewing point. On top we may expect more and more pretty places mostly available for passenger cars and vans only.

    Molly Gallivan's Cottage & Traditional Farm

    Molly Gallivan's cottage is most traditional and authentic old Irish place. Like museum of Irish folklore. Visiting the place is like moving back in time, hundred years ago or more. Even tea is served from a real fireplace.

    Healy Pass

    Beautiful spot providing really spectacular view Kenmare bay and Bantry bay on the other side of peninsula. Charming Glanmore lake down below with some rocky islands and really idyllic farmlands.

    Derreen Garden. Mysterious land of little Derrinies and lot of exotic plants, specially known because a variety and large size of rhododendrons. Beautiful walk at the little cosy ponds in kind of rain forest.

    Uragh Stone Circle is in exceptional location between two lakes on the heal with spectacular view at Gleninchaquin Waterfall. This impressive monument with tallest stone of 10 feet above the ground and probably 10 feet underground and central stone which was an altar for scarfing victims, maybe humans too.

    Copper mining in Allihies dates back to 1812. In 1845 mines rreached it's peak and were employing around 1600 people. Mines were suffered with local area after the potato famine. Mines were working up to 1962.
