Have breakfast ;check out from the Aswan hotel. A short sail across the river will bring you to the Agilkia Island, where the Philae Temple dedicated to the Goddess Isis is currently located. Originally, the temple was situated near the First Cataract of the Nile River, though in 1902 when the construction of the Old Aswan Dam started, the area was flooded and the complex was moved. Proceed to the Old Dam built in 1899-1902 and then visit the masterpiece of modern engineering – the High Dam constructed between 1960-1970 in order to protect the city from floods, generate hydroelectricity and irrigate agricultural fields. Breakfast on board. (Optional trip ) Early morning transfer to the majestic Abu Simbel Temples, located some 300 kilometers away from Aswan. The temples are constructed in commemoration of Ramesses II tactical victory at the Battle of Kadesh that took place in 1274 BC. Interestingly, the ancient Egyptian architects built the Great Temple in such a way that twice a year (on October 22 and February 22), the sunbeams reach the inner sanctuary and lighten up three out of four sculptures – the statue of the God of the Underworld Ptah always remains in the darkness. The Small Temple dedicated to Goddess Hathor and Nefertari is also unique – first time in Egyptian architecture the statues of the Pharaoh and his wife are equal in size. Today enjoy the visit of one of the new Seven Wonders of the World. There is no visit of Jordan will be complete without having seen the capital of the ancient Nabatean kingdom, Petra, Begin your visit by enjoying a walk or a short horse ride from Petra’s main entrance to the entrance of the old city “Al Siq”. As you reach the end of the Siq, the first and greatest monument of Petra slowly comes into view. This is the famous Treasury monument “Al Khazneh”. Indulge yourself, and walk through the architectural and spiritual wonders of this majestic place examining every detail in sight. After visit we drive back to the Dead Sea through the Araba Valley. After breakfast drive to the North to visit the Greco-Roman city of Jerash (Jerasa), also known as the Pompeii of the East for it is the Second Well preserved Roman City in the World. Visiting the Hippodrome, its Oval colonnade Piazza, Colonnade Streets, Airtimes temple, Zeus Temple and the South Theatre. And then we drive to enjoy panoramic tour in the city of Amman, to the hotel and overnight.
