You will be picked up at the hotel, then the first stop will be the Mosque and Madrasa of Sultan Hassan, built between 1356 and 1363 by the Mamluk ruler Sultan Hassan. Located at Citadel Square, this monumental complex is often called the “pyramid of Islamic structures” for its grand scale and stunning symmetry. The site once served as a school, mosque, and mausoleum, combining religious and educational purposes in one architectural masterpiece. Accompanied by your private Egyptologist guide, you’ll learn about the mosque’s main design elements and the core principles of Islamic art and faith. The Mosque of Sultan Hassan remains one of the finest examples of the gigantic and elegant structures from the Mamluk era.
A short drive will take you to the 1150-year-old mosque of Ibn Tulun.it is the oldest and best-preserved mosque in Egypt. it has a unique spiral tower which has equal to the city of Samara in Iraq. The mosque has a tower that you can climb and enjoy a nice view over the city
the last stop will be at the remaining walls and gates of Cairo built in the 10th century by the Fatimid. Walking inside the old city, you will realize that you are in an open-air museum of Islamic structures mixed with the friendliness and welcoming of the local people. The tour will enrich your knowledge about the Islamic, religion, architecture, ornaments, and how the city developed over the years. At the end of the tour, you will be dropped off at the hotel
