In just two days, you will visit two globally famous UNESCO World Heritage sites: the Great Wall & Forbidden City in Beijing, plus the Terracotta Army and ancient City Wall in Xi’an.

    Beijing Great wall and Forbidden city tour from shanghai

    Shanghai

    Your private driver picks you up at your designated hotel in Shanghai and transfers you to Hongqiao Airport for your early morning flight to Beijing. Upon landing at Beijing Capital International Airport, our local guide will greet you with a name sign at the arrival exit. Please note: Airfare is not included in the tour package.

    Mutianyu Great Wall

    We head to Mutianyu Great Wall, the most well-preserved and picturesque section of the Great Wall. Enjoy panoramic mountain views along this ancient defensive wonder.

    Forbidden City Tour

    Normally we visit the Forbidden City, the grand 600-year-old imperial palace of the Ming and Qing dynasties. The Forbidden City is closed every Monday. If your tour lands on Monday, we will replace it with the Summer Palace, a stunning classical royal garden dotted with lakes and ancient pavilions. If you don’t agree to visit the Summer Palace instead of the Forbidden City on Mondays, we can adjust the itierary order: visit Xi'an first,then Beijing.

    After finishing all Beijing sightseeing, your guide drives you to Beijing Airport for your evening flight to Xi’an. Our local driver in Xi’an will wait for you upon arrival and transfer you to your downtown hotel for overnight stay.

    Your Xi’an guide meets you in the hotel lobby early in the morning.Explore the world-famous Terracotta Army, one of the greatest archaeological discoveries in human history and a prestigious UNESCO World Heritage Site inscribed in 1987. Built over 2,200 years ago for Qin Shi Huang, China’s first unified emperor, this grand underground burial complex features thousands of life-sized, uniquely detailed clay warriors, horses and chariots. Every soldier differs in facial features, hairstyles, armor and expressions, representing the supreme craftsmanship, powerful military strength, and brilliant civilization of the Qin Dynasty. It offers an incomparable glimpse into China’s ancient imperial glory.
