  Shanghai Tower

  Your professional local guide and driver will meet you at the arrival hall of your cruise terminal, holding a name sign. Pick‑up location will be adjusted to match your vessel: either Wusongkou International Cruise Terminal or Shanghai Port International Cruise Terminal, based on your cruise ship’s schedule and name. Transfer by private air‑conditioned vehicle to downtown Shanghai. Arrive at Lujiazui, Shanghai’s world‑renowned international financial centre located on the east bank of Huangpu River. Your guide will give you a brief orientation to this district. Here you will witness Shanghai’s iconic modern skyline: the Oriental Pearl TV Tower, the spiraling Shanghai Tower (China’s tallest building), Shanghai World Financial Center and Jin Mao Tower, collectively known as the “Lujiazui Three Towers”. Stroll along the riverside promenade for fantastic photo opportunities facing the Bund’s historic colonial buildings across the Huangpu River.

  Yuyuan Old Street

  Next, we travel to Shanghai’s historic Old Town. Wander through lively Yuyuan Bazaar packed with traditional shops and red lanterns before stepping inside Yu Garden, a well‑preserved classical Jiangnan private garden dating back to the Ming Dynasty. Your guide will walk you past elegant pavilions, tranquil ponds, delicate rock formations and winding corridors, showcasing classic Chinese garden design. You will soak in the authentic atmosphere of old Shanghai, very different from the sleek modern skyline you just saw in Lujiazui. After exploring the garden, slow down for a wonderful Chinese tea ceremony in a charming historic tea house nearby. Learn about Chinese tea culture from your host, watch the graceful tea‑making ritual, and taste premium local teas such as Longjing green tea or Tieguanyin oolong. This peaceful cultural pause offers you a perfect moment to relax and savor traditional flavors right in the heart of old Shanghai.

  The Bund (Wai Tan)

  We then head to the famous Bund along the Huangpu River. Admire the magnificent row of well‑preserved colonial‑style historic buildings built in the early 20th century. Your guide will share stories about Shanghai’s colourful past as an international trading port. Standing on the riverside promenade, you get spectacular views back across the water towards the futuristic skyscrapers of Lujiazui — a stunning contrast between old and new Shanghai, perfect for photos.

  Your final stop will be a reputable local silk factory. Discover the centuries‑old craft of Chinese silk production. You can watch demonstrations showing how silk is made from silkworm cocoons, and enjoy free time to browse and shop for high‑quality silk products, including silk scarves, pillowcases and clothing

  Wusongkou International Cruise Terminal

  At the end of your tour, your guide and driver will transfer you safely back to your cruise terminal (either Wusongkou or Shanghai Port Cruise Terminal), arriving well ahead of your ship’s scheduled departure time.
