Sisi Dinner, Living History offers an unparalleled overall experience that goes far beyond classic dinner events. They become part of the imperial court, receive titles of nobility and accompany “Sisi” through four temporally staggered acts of her eventful life, accompanied by live acting, faithful costumes and historical projections. Monika Mosser has created a violet sparkling wine especially for this evening, which with its flowery aroma and gentle perlage immediately transports you into the world of the Empress.

The highlight is an exclusive 3-course meal with hearty spicy steak or vegetarian porcini ravioli, served in style in the magnificent banquet hall of the over 400-year-old Hotel Stefanie. Accompanying music and sung contemporary testimonies bring the historical scenes to life and give you intimate insights into Sisi's secret poetic diary.

What to expect

The concept combines theatre, music, singing and an imperial dinner to create an engaging evening full of emotions and history. Instead of a classic screen, multimedia projections of historical images and animations are used to capture the imagination.

In the venerable Hotel Stefanie, Vienna's oldest hotel with over 400 years of history, guests enjoy an exclusive 3-course menu with Austrian classics such as Tafelspitz or vegetarian porcini ravioli ideally embedded in the historic ambience.

As an aperitif, Monika Mosser serves her specially created violet sparkling wine, a sparkling, delicately fragrant wine reminiscent of candied violets, Sisi's preferred snack.

The play is based on Sisi's secret diary, which only became known decades after her death, and shows her role as monarch as well as her internal conflicts. Scenic representations, historical projections and musical interludes allow the audience to immerse themselves deeply in their world.

The highlight is an elegant ball in the historic salon, a moving finale that harmoniously combines theatre, music and cuisine in an imperial setting.
