You will then discover Lefkes, one of the most picturesque villages of Paros, built at the foot of the Mount of Prophet Elias. Lefkes, the former capital of the island, is set in amphitheater-like way on the hillside offering a beautiful sight to visitors. The location was chosen by the residents to be protected from the pirates who then roamed the seas and the Cycladic ports. I
