It is a Cretaceous limestone hill in the Greek capital Athens. Did you know that it is 277 meters above sea level. The summit is the highest point in Central Athens and pine trees cover its base.   In each tour of Athens, there is a mandatory stop in Plaka. Walk and stroll around the Plaka Neighborhood. It is one of the most popular locations in Athens. From almost each corner, you can have a view at the Acropolis and ancient temples. In Plaka also find narrow cobblestone streets lined with tiny shops selling jewelry, clothes and local ceramics. Restaurants located on sidewalks and on small steep hill streets with steps everywhere. It is truly a must visit stop in Athens. During this 2 hour stop in Plaka, it will be the time to grab a bite to eat. Lunch is at your own expense.

  It is truly a wonderful stop along the way to Ancient Corinth to stop at the Famous The Corinth Canal. This is a man made canal in Greece. They needed a fast way to pass through and they decided that this was the best way. It separates the Peloponnese from the Greek mainland. There will be around a 30 - 45 minute stop to go to the bathroom, take pictures, enjoy the views before going to Ancient Corinth.

  Once we arrive to Ancient Corinth, your driver will be waiting for you and you will enjoy a visit alongside your tour guide of Ancient Corinth. Ancient Corinth is a polis (a city) that is located on the narrow stretch of land that joins the Peloponnese to the mainland of Greece, roughly halfway between Athens and Sparta.
