This nature-focused bike tour follows the Puccini Cycle Path and quiet white roads, crossing farmland, vineyards and olive groves before reaching the shores of Lake Massaciuccoli, one of the most important wetland areas in Italy.
Along the route, you may choose to stop at Mariani Winery, one of the most characteristic wineries in the area. Here you can enjoy an optional wine tasting and discover local Tuscan flavors in a relaxed countryside setting. The tour ends with a short uphill section leading to a panoramic viewpoint overlooking the lake, with stunning views of the Apuan Alps and the Versilia coast.

Lake Massaciuccoli, located near Viareggio and Torre del Lago Puccini, is a beautiful natural area in northern Tuscany. Surrounded by reeds and wetlands, the lake offers breathtaking views and a peaceful atmosphere. It is famous for inspiring composer Giacomo Puccini, who lived nearby. The LIPU Oasis, a protected nature reserve along the lake, is a paradise for birdwatchers and nature lovers. Wooden walkways and observation huts allow visitors to explore the wetlands and observe rare bird species, including herons and marsh harriers. It’s the perfect place for a relaxing walk, a kayak rent, or simply enjoying the unique landscape and local wildlife.
