Itinerary

Duration: 2 hours (approximately)
  • Oslo (Pass by)

We will begin our adventure at the The Nobel Peace Center, built as arena where culture and politics merge to promote involvement, debate and reflection for topics such as war or conflict resolution. We continue with a panoramic stroll through Oslo’s scenic Harbor for views over Norway’s coastal archipelagos. Time for another highlight- the Oslo City Hall with its two massive towers is the building where the Nobel Prize ceremony takes place each year. Constructed in 1931 the building has a spectacular main hall featuring huge murals with typical Nordic social democratic theme. We take a trip back in time and visit the impressive Akerhus Castle. Built in 1299, this medieval castle later became the royal residence and a fortress in 1592 after which was rebuilt in a renaissance castle. Now it’s time for an architectural wonder: prepare your cameras for the amazing Opera House of Oslo, Norway's first entry into the top league of modern architecture. The building is made of glass, marble and steel is shaped as a glacier or a ship, the amazing building seems to float on the river, giving a stunning impression. We will continue are walk passing the Oslo’s Karl Johan’s Gate and visit the Cathedral that was consecrated in 1697 and restored in 1950 back to baroque style. Last but not least, we visit the modern Parliament of Norway and end up our tour at the Royal Palace of Oslo.
